Sinergia

Thirty-seven years of operation, and a website that described the company they used to be.

A last-mile logistics operator working with businesses across Spain and Portugal. The company had changed in size and in what it could do, and its site still presented the courier firm it used to be.

The decisions

The site presents the company they are, not the one they were

It arrived as a redesign and what was out of alignment was the message. The positioning was rewritten before anything was laid out: a new site built on the old message would have reproduced the problem in better type.

Three languages from the structure up, not laid on top

Each language with its own address, its own metadata and the reciprocal signals that say which version to serve to whom. A translator laid over a site generates no addresses, and without addresses there is nothing for a search engine to show.

Eleven service pages, not one page with eleven blocks

Each service gets its own page because each one is bought separately and needs room to explain itself: what it covers, who it is for, and how it differs from the one beside it. And because a single page cannot compete for eleven different queries — the eleven compete with each other inside the same document and the engine ends up picking one.
